YOU CAN USE THIS WEB WITH EVERYDAY SETTINGS and after a couple of goes it will be familiar. This page tells what to fix:

PROBLEM - my animation is squashed to the top like this.
SOLUTION - click the Compatibility View button
PROBLEM - there are blank spaces in my animation like this.
SOLUTION - install the 'Chime' plugin for Internet Explorer
PROBLEM - it's slow over the network
SOLUTION - it will appear slow the first time you use it
PROBLEM - I click links and they don't work
SOLUTION - someone's disabled Javascript in your browser.
PROBLEM - I'm stuck; old password no longer works
SOLUTION - if you're a chemistry teacher, contact us
PROBLEM - I signed in but where is it?
SOLUTION - the window's gone to the back or it's in the task bar

SETTING UP SUMMARY FOR IT PEOPLE:

• Switch Compatibility View 'on' in Internet Explorer 8
• Install 'Chime' from our CD or register to get it from www.symx.com (below)
• Find a way to give Chime to your students
• The slides and menus are cached locally so it loads fast next time
• Not made for Firefox. Mac OSX will show animation but not 3D models.
• No need to install Java. Javascript/Scripts should enabled.
